Heads of the Griffin Pride

The patriarch of the griffin pride is rarely seen, and almost always is accompanied by at least 2 of his top mates. Never alone. Younger males have a grouping behavior that varies from place to place, and even between seasons. Sometimes together, sometimes not. The females do the hunting, and always work in a tactical spring trap fashion. Aided by the large, fair (advanced enough protofeathers into complicated hairs) covered membranes stretching from the tips of their overextended scapulas down to their hips, the females are able to glide around in large jumps. They control the shape of the wings by extending and contracting their arms. The males are known to have fought using display patterns on their show-wings and crests and actually engaged in physical headbutting and goring, along with their strange, almost alien way of slinking around.

So, I thought redesigning a griffin was a good idea to try out, so I did. I read a few stories while doing research on griffins, from some like, 60 year old books, that said that griffins were red blue and black, so i figured I'd try to get that in there. Also, ceratopsians having protofeathers. This is almost in a world where some dinosaurs lived by turning scavenger way early and being in the right place. But just a few.
